Cancers, Side Effects & Symptoms: Overview

In this BCCT section you'll some basics and some surprises. The basics:

  • Complete cancer handbooks: Details of integrative therapies and the evidence behind them for each major cancer type.
  • Partial handbooks: Links to authoritative information, support groups, integrative programs and more
  • Types of cancer: A list of all the types of cancer and how those map onto the major cancer types we cover in our handbooks
  • Side effects and symptoms: Integrative approaches can really help with side effects of treatment and cancer symptoms

One surprise may be discovering how much "body terrain" may matter to progression rates.  Another surprise may be how much integrative approaches may reduce side effects of treatment.

Worldwide, "an estimated 19.3 million new cancer cases and almost 10 million cancer deaths occurred in 2020. Female breast cancer was the most commonly diagnosed cancer, with an estimated 2.3 million new cases (11.7%), followed by lung (11.4%), colorectal (10.0%), prostate (7.3%), and stomach (5.6%) cancers."1
